Semi-Private Tour and Tasting Experiences
The Library Tasting

This extended seated tasting is a unique opportunity to sample select older vintages of Burrowing Owl Estate Winery wines alongside their current release equivalents to gain insight and understanding into the effects of different growing seasons on wine and how wine ages. This program includes a short visit to our exclusive Wine Library, a presentation and discussion on the above-mentioned topics, and a guided wine tasting.

- Duration: up to 60 minutes

The Food & Wine Experience
May – August

Thursdays @ 2:00 pm
During this extended, seated experience, enjoy current vintage wines coupled with modest bites from the Sonora Room kitchen. In addition to a discussion on the marriage of wine and food, guests will gain insight into the history and wines of Burrowing Owl Estate Winery.

The Connoisseur Tasting

This extended seated tasting is an opportunity to understand how each of our wines expresses Burrowing Owl Estate Winery’s unique style. This program includes a presentation and insight into the winery’s history, our vineyards, and a guided wine tasting.
- Tasting of the portfolio (5 wines)
- Duration: up to 60 minutes
- Cost: $30/person plus tax
- Maximum 12 people
Vineyard Walk and Tasting
April – August
Tuesday – Friday @ 10:30 am

Tuesday – Saturday @ 10:30 am
Let’s walk in the vineyard and talk about the biology of the vine, its growing cycles, the concept of terroir and viticultural practices at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. The walk is followed by a wine tasting that will underline the main concepts seen in the field. A moderate level of fitness is required. Please dress for the outdoors: closed-toe shoes, sunhats, sunscreen, a water bottle and sunglasses.

- Duration: up to 90 minutes
- Cost: $45/person plus tax
- Maximum 8 people
Cellar Tour and Tasting
April – August
Saturdays @ 10:30 am & 2:00 pm
Tour the winery and cellar and discuss winemaking techniques and equipment at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. Among the unique features of the winery, you will discover the benefits of the gravity flow cellar and the underground barrel caves. The tour is followed by a wine tasting that will underline the main concepts seen previously. A moderate level of physical fitness is required. Accessible options are available.

Confirmed tours and tasting experiences require 24 hours notice to cancel. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the confirmed start time are subject to a charge of 50% of the total cost of the experience booked.
